Don’t be afraid to haggle for prices. Peruvian shopkeepers do try to sell for higher prices but surely come down with the help of some negotiation.
Landing in Lima and walking tour
You will be greeted by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel in your private cab. After freshening up, a tour of the Peruvian capital of Lima awaits us. We’ll start off with the grand Plaza Mayor of Lima & the Presidential Palace, we might even get to see the change of guard if we’re lucky! Post this, we’d head to the pious Santo Domingo Church and the serene Rimac River. Our next stop will be the popular, House of Peruvian Literature, filled with facts and history about the South American country and its literature. The trip ends at the Colonial City Wall of Lima. Off to Paracus
We start the day early for what’s going to be an exciting couple of days in Paracus. We’ll board the luxury bus at 7 am and stop for breakfast at one of the popular Peruvian places. From there we’ll set off for the Hacienda San Jose to witness the jaw-dropping Secret Slave Tunnels! From there on we’d head straight to Paracus and you are sure to be spellbound once we arrive at the beautiful town by the sea. We’ll visit the La Playa Roja, a must-visit beach to enjoy the Peruvian sunset followed by dinner to gorge onto some lip-smacking seafood in order to refuel ourselves for the next day (Overnight in Paracus)
Beautiful Ballestas and Sandboarding
A tour of the marvellous Ballestas Islands sets the ball rolling on the third day. Also known as the smaller sister to the Galapagos islands, this one is just as breathtaking. The island is filled with sea lions, penguins and a lot of other birds as well. We might spot a dolphin or two if we get lucky! Next stop in the day is the gigantic Paracas National Reserve and no words can do justice to the marvel this place is. It encompasses the stunning Pacific coastline where the ocean meets the desert. Huacachina, a small oasis in the Ica Desert will be the next destination from the Paracas and you’ll get plenty of Instagram worthy photos at this spot! We’ll follow this up with 2 hours of exhilarating dune buggying and sandboarding - Ride the dune buggies up and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America. A once in a lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America before leaving back for Lima the same night on the luxury bus.(Overnight in Lima)
The Sacred Valley of Incas
Get your bags packing as the Inca Valley awaits you on day 4. Right from the moment you set foot via in Cusco, the city closest to Inca Valley you’ll be blown away by the aura of the place on offer.The day promises to be a long yet mesmerising one right from the word go. We’ll start the day at the Sacred Valley Viewpoint, with short stops at Pisac, Maras, Moray, the perfect places to soak in citadels, ruins and the stories of the Inca civilization. This will followed by a buffet at Urubamba with a spectacular view of the garden that houses Alpacas before ending the day at Ollantaytambo, a place with bucket-loads of history about the Spaniards and the last Incas. Rainbow Mountains
Yes you read that right. The mountains are painted in a sea of colors indeed. Hold your breath and take in this majestic view of the only multi-colored mountain range in the world from the highest viewing point possible. We’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of the unbelievable Red Mountain range if the weather is favourable. The way up here will give you plenty of opportunities to click some photographs with the much-known Alpacas, adding to the fairly delightful experience. This place is sure to go up there on your social media profile leaving everyone who sees them, awestruck. Since the trek is going to take half a day, It’d be great to pack comfortable trekking shoes along in order to aid the whole experience and add to the fun.(Overnight in Cusco)
Machu Picchu
Saving the best for the last, a train ride to the much raved about Machu Picchu awaits us. No trip to Peru can be complete without visiting this place and it surely lives up to the hype around it. Upon reaching the top, feel free to explore Huayna Picchu and the Inca City of Machu Picchu. This summit is 2,693 meters above sea level. It is considered one of the most amazing short walks in the world. Post this, explore the Temple of the Moon, the only Inca site in the middle of a cave before catching the train back to Cusco. Departure
On the last day you’d be transferred to the Cusco airport, before reaching Lima based on your flightschedule based on day 6 night or day 7 early morning.
