Explore the street life in Rio and Sao Paulo as much as you can as these are some of the best experiences the country has to offer. Try not to venture out alone late in the night though!
Brazilians are laid back people and hence, not very popular for their punctuality. Almost nothing starts on time and there will always be delays in some form or the other. So always take that bit into account.
Try not to drink the tap water. Always keep an extra bottle of packaged water handy.
