A FEW KEY POINTERS TO KNOW BEFOREHAND:
Brazilians aren’t the best when it comes to English so brushing up on your Portuguese would be highly recommended. Knowing the basic phrases shall be enough
The people are one of the best you’ll come across in the whole of Americas. However, pickpocketing and other petty crimes are very commonplace in the country so caution must be maintained at all times.
Explore the street life in Rio and Sao Paulo as much as you can as these are some of the best experiences the country has to offer. Try not to venture out alone late in the night though!
Brazilians are laid back people and hence, not very popular for their punctuality. Almost nothing starts on time and there will always be delays in some form or the other. So always take that bit into account.
Try not to drink the tap water. Always keep an extra bottle of packaged water handy
Sugarloaf Mountain peak
You will be greeted by our representative at the airport in Rio De Janerioand transferred to your hotel in your private cab. This will be followed by a visit to Rio’s crown jewel, Sugarloaf Mountain, to bestow upon you the best Rio has to offer right from the word goWe’ll head for Rocinha Favela walking tour post this which will capture all art Rio has to offer is one of the must-do activities in the city. The day will end with a 3 hour walking tour of EscadriaSelaron, on the world’s most beautiful staircases and one of the must haves in your Brazil related Instagram posts! (Overnight in Rio)
Christ the Redeemer and Maracana
Day 2 promises to be a long one and shall be equally fun. We’ll begin with the magical sunrise at the Copacabana beach, situated closeby to our hotel. Copacabana is one of the most visited beaches in the city and no trip can be complete without covering the same. We follow this up with a homage trip to Maracana, one of the grandest football stadiums in the world. With half the day done, we’ll set our eyes on one of the seven wonders in the world, Christ the Redeemer. Tijuca national park, will be the last attraction of the day with a 4-hour jeep tour bringing us face to face with Brazil in its raw form. (Overnight in Rio)
A boat trip of Angra Dos Reis
The pictures do not even begin to do justice to the crystal clear waters of Brazil. Get a feel of the luxury life on a 12 hr boat trip of Angra Dos Reis including stops at IlhasBotinas, two small, almost twin islands with a calm translucent sea, which will make you keep coming back for more and Praia de Jurubaíba, renowned worldwide for its brilliant white sand and intense color waters that vary according to the sky. Santa Teresa tour
Our last day in Rio will include a visit to the fairytale yet ancient neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. It is a very serene and cozy place with a plethora of cafes and restaurants playing numerous types of latin tunes adding to the surreal experience that is Santa Teresa. It’s more of a feeling than a place and our trip here will include the iconic tram ride, in addition to the Ruins park and the Tram Museum. Following this, we’ll reach Rio’s most happening beach, Ipanema to soak in some sun for the famous Brazilian tan. (Overnight in Rio)
Foz De Iquazu
"My Poor Niagra!” American President Roosevelt exclaimed when he took in the Foz De Iguazu in all its glory. If you thought it couldn’t get any better than Rio, get ready to be proven wrong. Iguazu is easily one of the most popular attractions in the whole of South America and if there’s heaven anywhere on Earth, it is this place. We’ll also visit the Bird Park situated in the area for a duration of two hours as part of the Foz De Iguazu package, setting up a date with the wildlife of the great Americas. (Overnight in Iguazu)
Skydiving at Itaipu dam
The day will begin with a bus trip to Itaipu Dam which is one of the most visited locations around the region before showing you some other popular local attractions including the churches, markets amongst many others to cap off our Foz De Iguazu journey, leaving you with ample time to explore the town a bit on your in the evening and tasting the local cuisines apart from street shopping. Sao Paulo culture trip
Sao Paulo is easily the graffiti capital of the world. The sheer brilliance of the Brazilian artists and their attention to detail will leave you spellbound, leaving you with plenty of Instagram worthy photos in the process. Batman Alley is a must visit in Sao Paulo, laced with graffiti art spread over a huge area. Apart from this, we’d also be indulging in a host of other cultural attractions including the light show at Parque Ibirapueraand a short trip to Paulista Avenue among many others. Holy trinity of beaches
You can’t taste the flavour of Sao Paulo, the city where one of the world’s greatest ever footballer player kicked his first ever ball, without visiting Pele Museum and the set of three popular Sao Paulo beaches: josemenino beach,Pitangueiras beach and Mirante do Morro da Campina. Transfer to Manaus
Day 9 will be a leisure day at the hotel in Manaus to give you a much-needed break for the next set of days in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. However, you are free to explore the city on your own if you like (Overnight in Manaus)
Welcome to Amazon
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Manaus and brought to your lodge in the Anavilhanas Natural Reserve Area before leaving for Piranha fishing in the afternoon followed by an experience of the Anavilhanas islandsand its animals in all their glory. The day will end by an alligator night spotting canoe trip. This would be a chance to feel Brazil at its rawest form possible and enjoy the rich biodiversity laden rainforest! (Overnight in Amazonas)
Rendezvous with the Indians
The day will be mostly centred around interactions with an actual Indian tribe in the Amazonas and witness their traditions, rituals and clothing first-hand. Even the option to click some memorable pictures with our warm guests has been agreed upon. If we get lucky, we might as well get to be a part of the local dance celebrations, which will be a one of a lifetime experience. Before leaving back for the camp, the guests get to also sight and swim with the unique pink dolphins in the Rio Negro and play to their heart’s joy with these adorable animals. Departure
After a hearty breakfast, on our last morning of this grand trip to Brazil, and the Amazonas, we’ll proceed for some canoeing in the traditional Indian boats for a good part of the morning. You can also chose to stay back and enjoy the tranquillity in the Veranda hammocks in you wish to. Post lunch, upon mutual discussion, you’d be dropped off at the airport directly to ensure you catch your flight back easily.
