Known for the Ilulissat Icefjord and the icebergsIlulissat is a coastal town in western Greenland. “Ilulissat” means “Icebergs” in Kalaallisut, the Greenlandic language. Arrive in Ilulissat and proceed to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day enjoying a stroll in the streets with the many colourful houses and learn more about the gastronomy and culture on your own. You may pay a visit to the Ilulissat Art Museum or Viking Ruins.

After your breakfast at hotel visit the UNESCO World heritage site, IlulissatIce fjords. It is a massive collection of icebergs that have calved from the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier one by one. It is necessary to first get a bird’s eye view so you know exactly how grand of a scale the IlulissatIce fjord has. Return back to the hotel and you’re done for the day.

Experience the magic of the giants of the deep with a 3hour whale watching excursion from Ilulissat. Post breakfast we will set sail from Ilulissat harbour and head to where whales have recently been sighted. During the tour, we will help you identify the different types of whales we see, talk a little about their characteristics, and explain why this particular region is such an important place for them. After this we will spend the evening chasing the best views of the magnificent Aurora Borealis in the darkest sites to the outskirts of Ilulissat.

In the morning we’ll go for Ilulissat citywalking tour discovering the hidden corners and gems of Ilulissat city. While exploring the town, we’ll stop by the local fish marketknown as brætte’, the arctic explorer Knud Rasmussen's childhood home and visit the old wooden Zion church. After this we’ll head for IlilissatIce fjords hike. Adventure starts at Kussangajaannguaq and takes you out of town to the old quarry from where we venture towards Seqinniarfik. Next destination of the day, takes you to Nakkaavik after which the tour continues toward Sermermiut. Here you will get to explore hidden Inuit graves and the remains of the last Inuits who lived there. At the end we return to Ilulissat by the wooden path towards the old heliport.

After breakfast, venture out of the hotel and explore the local areas on your own or maybe go for some shopping. Make your way back to the hotel by afternoon and proceed to the airport for your flight back home.
