Arrive at San José International Airport in Costa Rica and transfer to your hotel in La Fortuna. Literally translated from Spanish as “The Fortune,” La Fortuna is a small town in Costa Rica tucked into the base of the Arenal Volcano. Enjoy an amazing hike through the Arenal and Chato Volcanoes accompanied with typical Costa Rican lunch and drinks. Hike on a 6km path to reach the base of the volcano where you will find a solid lava field. Jump into the green lagoon in front of the volcano for a refreshing bath. The forest is festooned with orchids, bromeliads, ferns, vines and mosses that rise high into the sky. the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is home to more than thousands of species of plants and animals. Today, your trip comes to an end and you’ll be transferred to the San José International Airport from Monteverde. If time permits you can go out for exploring the area on your own or go for some shopping.
