Welcome to the Faroe Islands! Arrive at Vagar airport and proceed to your hotel in Torshavn. Vágar is one among the 18 islands within the archipelago of the Faroe Islands. It is enriched with four beautiful lakes and also comprises the island of Mykines. Enjoy a full day tour of Vestmanna Bird Cliffs and Northern Streymoy on this day. Reach Vestmanna from your hotel in Torshavn and board a boat from Vestmanna to sail towards the the Vestmanna sea cliffs. Once the boat trip is over wander around the Vikings settlements. you will see the beautiful island of Koltur and Kvívík along with a few other villages. (Overnight stay in Torshavn)

Faroe Islands

Travel from your hotel in Torshavn to Sorvagur and visit the Sørvágsvatn Lake which is popularly known as the Floating lake. It is the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. Lake Sørvágsvatn proves that perspective matters as it provides the visitors different angles, leading it to appear as it floats whereas in reality, the lake is no more than about 90 feet above sea level. After visiting the lake head towards the Mykines Islands in a ferry ride from Sorvagur. The unspoiled island is an unparallel experience where you will get close to puffins and enjoy the remoteness on the westernmost island in the Faroe Islands. Mykines is a bird-watchers dream. Walk among the birds in one of the largest puffin colonies in the world on the way to the famous white lighthouse, situated at the westernmost point of the Faroe Islands. Visiting Mykines Island is a great experience for nature enthusiasts. The lush green fields during summer along with the dramatic landscape is the ultimate way of seeing the Faroe Islands. Head back to your hotel in Torshavn from Mykines Island. (Overnight stay in Torshavn)

Funningur, Faroe Islands

Head to Funningur from Torshavan via Oyrarbaki. Funningur is believed to be the oldest village in the Faroe Islands. Funningur sits at the foot of Slættaratindur which is the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands. The village is nestled on the northwest coast of Eysturoy in a deep valley. Located here is the Funningur Church which is one of the 10 old wooden churches in the Faroe Islands. You can hike all the way up to the summit of the Slættaratindur mountain which is the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands, at elevation of 880 metres. It takes less than 2 hours to reach the top from Funningur village. The hike to Slættaratindur is very popular among locals and travellers alike. Return back to your hotel in Torshavn at the end of the day. (Overnight stay in Torshavn)

Eysturoy, Faroe Islands

Take a bus from Torshavn to Gjógv via Oyrarbaki. Gjógv is a little village on the northernmost part of Eysturoy, with less than 50 inhabitants. It was named after a 200-meter long sea-filled gorge that runs north to the sea from the village. The village has subsisted on fishing and selling dried and salted fish There are stairs all the way down into the gorge where you can enjoy a relaxing time playing in the local river and it is likely to see ducks and fish. You will have a good view of the sheer westside of Kalsoy island from Gjógv. The village was nominated for the Nature & Environmental Award 2014 by the Nordic Council. Take the bus and end your tour by returning back to the hotel. (Overnight stay in Torshavn)

Faroe Islands

Now your trip in the Faroe Islands has come to a close. If you are lucky to have a late flight, you can spend your final day in the Faroe Islands walking in the Tórshavn area on your own. We recommend you to visit The Nordic House which is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the Nordic region. Alternatively, you can visit the local art museum Listasavnið where you will see the best of classic and modern Faroese art.
For your return transfer, a taxi will pick you up in Tórshavn and take you to the airport on Vágar island.
