Arrival and Seven Mile Beach
Welcome to Cayman Islands! Arrive at Owen Roberts International Airport in George Town and proceed to your hotel. George Town is the supremely wealthy capital of Cayman Islands and is known as a financial hub and a port of call for cruise ships. Visit the Seven Mile Beach, a gorgeous stretch of unbroken white sand that offers myriad opportunities for swimming, sunbathing and sunset viewing.With sparkling waters and coral sands, Seven Mile Beach gives you every chance to enjoy what Cayman is all about. Spend the day on your own. (Overnight in George Town)
Turtle Centre and Kittiwake shipwreck & artificial reef
Visit the Cayman Turtle Centre that provides its guests with a chance to come face to face with the green sea turtles found here. Visitors can enjoy various activities with turtles ranging from picking up yearling turtles while they are swimming and playing to taking a peek at the baby turtles hatching out of their eggs. Once you’re done with the Turtle Centre, head to the Kittiwake shipwreck & artificial reef nearby. The artificial reef is made by sinking Kittiwake, an ex-USA Navy submarine rescue vessel that was brought to the Cayman Islands. Visitors are allowed to snorkel or dive to explore it and admire the ship’s five decks, overflowing with a rainbow of rare sponges, goliath groupers, squirrelfish and urchins. Stingray city and National Gallery
Visit Stingray City where you can mingle with marine life by wading among friendly majestic southern Atlantic stingrays and even feed them. Leave Stingray City for Coral Gardens, where you can snorkel gear and explore hundreds of fish species and coral formations. Coral Garden is the perfect location to feed various species of fish and capture images of sea creature, coral reefs and colourful marine life. Proceed to the Starfish to have a close encounter with starfish, as they do move from one place to another. Visit the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands in the evening, which preserves, collects, exhibits, and fosters an understanding of Caymanian art. (Overnight in George Town)
Departure
Now your trip in Grand Cayman Island has come to a close. If you are lucky to have a late flight, you can spend your final day in George Town by visiting the seven Mile beach again or discover the various delicacies and shopping points.
