Neuschwanstein Castle's history is one of grandeur, tragedy, and mystique. Built by King Ludwig II, the castle was meant to serve as a retreat and a symbol of German Romanticism, paying tribute to the composer Richard Wagner. However, Ludwig's grand vision was cut short by his untimely death, and the castle was left unfinished. Despite this, Neuschwanstein's glory has only grown over time, with the castle becoming a popular tourist destination and an iconic symbol of Germany’s cultural heritage. Return tickets with transfers from Munich will be provided.

test day2
Today spend a beautiful day at the emerald waters of Königssee in the Berchtesgaden Alps of Bavaria (in Germany). Surrounded by often snow clad mountains, with marvelous views of Germany´s highest waterfall at Röthbachfall and the beautiful chapel of St. Bartholoma, dating from 1134, this place is totally unmissable. The boat ride on the lake is mesmerizing and the little musical performance by the guide on the boat is cherry on the cake.
Please note that the boat ride on the lake is a must but the tickets have to be purchased there itself. The cost will be approx. 20 Euros per person.
Please note this activity will start at 10AM or 11AM from Munich on weekdays, and journey time from Munich to Koenigssee is 3 hours. On weekends, the activity can start early as well as per your convenience.
